"Nothing in nature is terrifying when one understands it. Darling, my father drew that very lightning from Heaven and forced it to his own will to bring life to a being he created with his own hands. Why should we fear anything?"
―Wolf von Frankenstein to Elsa von Frankenstein[src]

Baron Wolf von Frankenstein was an ambitious scientist and the son of the notorious Henry Frankenstein, whose creation of the destructive "Monster" tarnished the Frankenstein name and made Wolf and his family outcasts.

When he relocated to Castle Frankenstein with his wife and son, Wolf was approached by the deranged Ygor, who convinced him to heal the wounded Monster. He agreed in the hopes of redeeming his father, but the Monster became murderous like before, and he was forced to fight against it.

History[]

Early life[]

Wolf was born to Henry and Elizabeth Frankenstein sometime in the year 1900. He never knew or met his father at all throughout his life because his mother raised him and his younger brother Ludwig in London, UK by herself whilst his father did all his experiments in Ingolstadt, Germany which was the hometown for the Frankenstein family and also where they were cast out and made pariahs by the townspeople due to Henry's unorthodox experiments with creating humans which is what then caused him to tell Elizabeth to take their 2 sons (Wolf and Ludwig), to live in London as a safer option.

Much like his father, Wolf graduated from college with a degree in Science and presumably became either a scientist or science teacher in the UK whilst he also met and married a woman with the first name Elsa and had a son with her named Peter who was born sometime in the late 1920s-early 1930s. He grew up learning about his father from his mother in The UK and after him, Elizabeth and Ludwig found out about Henry's untimely death, Wolf decided that he will take his father's inheritance and live at Castle Frankenstein alongside Elsa and Peter, much to the worry of Elizabeth.

Son of Frankenstein[]

In 1939, Wolf, Elsa and Peter travel by train to Ingolstadt. After arriving at the town, they meet the Burgomaster who gives them the documents and inheritance of Henry Frankenstein and the Frankenstein family which Wolf signs before him and his family go to the castle where they reunite with their maid Amelia and butler Thomas Benson and where Wolf goes into his father's study and talks to a portrait of him, saying that he is happy to be living in his ancestral home again. Soon after, he is visited by local Police Inspector Krogh who tells him that he is there to protect him and his family from any bloodthirsty and angry villagers and that he should not do any experiments like his father did because it might cause trouble for him and the town. Wolf responds by agreeing with Krogh before inquiring about how he got a wooden arm to which the latter explains that the Monster broke it when he was a kid and also killed his father after which Peter, Elsa and the servants meet the inspector which then causes him to leave the mansion.
