Van Helsing is a film in early production and a reboot of the original Van Helsing film starring Hugh Jackman. The new version will feature Tom Cruise as the titular character, who was the protagonist in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the writers/producers behind Transformers, Star Trek, The Legend of Zorro, Cowboys & Aliens, Mission Impossible: III, and more, are set to write the script for the new Van Helsing. They have signed a two-year, first-look production deal with Universal Pictures.
