Background.[]

Set is the god of storms and chaos in ancient Egyptian mythology. In the movie he is wrongly described as the "god of death".

He is an extremely powerful dark god, who appeared in Ahmanet's story for the first time. The Egyptian princess resorts to the dark arts and invokes Set. They agree on a deal in which in exchange for dark powers, Ahmanet would give Set a physical body, by means of a dagger he gives to her, in addition to killing the royal family. More than 3000 years ago, the pact could not be completed, since the princess was captured and mummified alive, and the dagger with the gem that contained Set was guarded by the priests, and thousands of years later by knight crussaders. When Ahmanet is released today, Set waits for part of Ahmanet's deal. The princess regains her previous form and finds the dagger and the crimson gem, tries to stab Nick Morton, Ahmanet's chosen to bring back Set, but Nick takes it off in a distraction, and stabs himself in the chest . Nick is possessed by the god, and tries to join Ahmanet, but Nick regains control, and with the powers of Set, he eats Ahmanet's life, returning it to a dry mummy again. Nick resuscitates Jenny Hasley (killed by Ahmanet to get her away from Nick) with the powers of Set. Nick tells Jenny that he does not know what he has become, and flees with a path to the unknown beginning. Then Nick resurrects his friend Vail, and they go horseback to the Egyptian pyramids in Giza with a sand torret behind which is driven by Set / Nick.

Personality.[]

As Dr. Jekyll states, Set is the personification of absolute Evil. He probably manipulated Ahmanet to take the world. It is also mentioned by Jekyll, that Set and the very same Demon Satan are the same entity.

Powers and abilities.[]

Set could manipulate life and death, extremely destructive powers, velocity, strenght, and far superior to Ahmanet. Other powers probably are enhanced reflexes and senses or even several satanic powers. He can possess bodies with the help of the dagger that he gives to Ahmanet. His enormous powers remain a mystery, and no weakness is known.
